Town Centre Open Saturday – 21st September
Come along to the war memorial (Vicarage Field in the centre of Hailsham High Street) to enjoy the regular Saturday Hailsham Market.
From 9.00 – 2.00pm Hailsham & District Flower Club invites you to help create a Carpet of Flowers.
Flower carpets are made from flowers arranged in patterns, as depicted in many places around the world.
At 10.00am in Hailsham Parish Church, Wealden Writers will hold a literary event with distinguished guest speaker, Tony Penroseof Farleys House and Gallery, Home of the Surrealists. As part of the the winners of The Festival Short Story Competition, The Twist At The End Of The Tale, will be announced and presented with their prizes, including a perpetual memorial cup for The Best Short Story.
Then at 12.00 and again at 1.00, the highly acclaimed theatre company, Brainfruit, will perform their street theatre piece Bear North, fresh from a successful run at the Brighton Fringe Festival.
There will also be crafts for children with Crafty Annie.
Don’t forget to visit the Festival Information Centre to view the artwork on the walls and pick up your free festival programme.
